Earth Day 2009



In celebration of Earth Day I urge you to check out this full length documentary from the Disney Studios "Earth" in theaters today (see trailer above).

In other "Green" news a fellow from my home country Gabon was one of the six winners of the Goldman Environmental "Nobel" Prizes. Marc Ona Essangui is an activist who has fought the local government for a long time. He exposed unlawful agreements in a Chinese mining project that threatened a sensitive ecosystem in Gabon’s equatorial rain forests and has been arrested numerous times for it or for trying to leave the country in order to attend international conferences on the subject.

So congrats to him
