3 Charged in Beating Death Of Chicago Student
Three teenagers were charged Monday in the beating death of a 16-year-old Chicago honor roll student Derrion Albert. Prosecutors say Albert was struck in the head with a board and punched by several young men involved in a melee last week.
I don't even know how to start so much emotions are curled up in me right now that are really hard to express. Another senseless death of a High School kid in Chicago. A kid who was striving at school, trying to make something out of his life, refusing to join the wrong crowd. This country has no solution for gang violence it has been killing young Black Americans for decades and we still don't known how to solve the problem.
It's a lose-lose situation when it comes to gangs, your life expectancy gets shorten whether you join or refuse to join their ranks.
We have to do better, starting from parents who have failed at their duties.
Thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.

50 Cent Rushed To Hospital After Hearing Fat Joe's Album
Hilarity Clinton!
Twitter bought the hoax when Tony Yayo announced that 50 Cent was rushed to the hospital earlier today, later he provided a link giving more details. Turns out 50 listened to Fat Joe's "J.O.S.E 2" album and became ill.
LMAO! What would Hip Hop be without 50 Cent entertaining us like that.

Jay-Z On French TV
Eat your heart out, who told you skip French class in High School? I would translate the questions for y'all but I got to run to class.
But at the beginning before everybody stood up and did the the "Roc" sign, the journalist was just praising his accomplishments and comparing him to Frank Sinatra and not Elvis (since he beat him to most #1 albums for a solo male career). Why Frank Sinatra? well because of the NY connection and all the trend-setting.
You're lucky I didn't do the post in French. (Ha!)
Props to RR.
N.O.R.E: "Don't Support My S.O.R.E Album"
Pun intended. Noreaga has nothing to do with the album S.O.R.E being released through his former label, besides the picture used for the artwork was taken years ago when he was 60 pounds heavier. He embraced a new healthy lifestyle and plans on expressing it on his real upcoming album.
When was the last time an artist asked you not to buy their product? I think we should take this opportunity and support him on this boycott.

J. Period & K'Naan "The Messengers" Mixtape [The Trilogy]
So I was waiting for all three tributes to Fela Kuti, Bob Marley and Bob Dylan to drop so I can compile them all in one 'tape. Looks like K'Naan and his folks already had the idea. Enjoy!
Three weeks after introducing the first of their groundbreaking Messengers tributes, J.Period & K’NAAN present their final offering: The Messengers (Deluxe Edition), a long-play version of their epic trilogy, including previously unreleased bonus tracks and selected 12” singles. Taking hip hop fans on an unprecedented journey into the legacies of Fela Kuti, Bob Marley and Bob Dylan, J.Period & K’NAAN’s The Messengers has racked up over 85,000 downloads/plays in only a few short weeks online, making this mixtape a bonafide phenomenon, as well. Remixing and re-imagining the classic work of these legendary artists, The Messengers is already being called “one of the year’s best albums or mixtapes” by top hip hop journalists, including HipHopDX.com.

Video: Drake ft. Kanye West, Lil Wayne & Eminem "Forever"
The video was poorly shot and edited, you can see Kanye's performance is out of sync with the audio, and the Slaughterhouse background shot with Eminem looked like a blooper scene, when Joe Budden is caught smiling before getting his mean mugging on.
Concept wise it's your typical movie soundtrack video, in-studio scenes put together with clips of the movie. The Lebron James intro (playing online poker?) didn't makes sense at all unless there is a story behind it.

Mayweather Wins Fight Against Marquez By Unanimous Decision
Money May' took Marquez to school and exhibited what many described as a Clinic, an array of precise and very calculated jabs and hooks. Pretty Floyd landed a majority of his punches and stayed most of the fight at a shoulder distance (the best defensive stance in boxing I've seen)away from Marquez assaults. The Mexican fighter was never a threat, Mayweather managed to knock him down on the first round but Marquez got up immediately.
At the end it came to the judges decision and it was unanimous, Floyd won that fight. However the only excitement we had to witness (see video) was during the post-fight interview where Sugar Shane Mosley challenged Mayweather to a fight. Max Kellerman was caught in between and tried also to get his point accross until Mayweather took the mic from him and told him he was talking too much. Lmao!
Mayweather doesn't have to fight Mosley I believe the people wants to see him fight the winner of Pacquiao/Cotto fight, which I believe hasn't been set up yet. Personally, win or lose I want to see Pacquiao against Floyd, that's a guarantee PPV record breaking, even though I got my free hook up online.
