Three teenagers were charged Monday in the beating death of a 16-year-old Chicago honor roll student Derrion Albert. Prosecutors say Albert was struck in the head with a board and punched by several young men involved in a melee last week.
I don't even know how to start so much emotions are curled up in me right now that are really hard to express. Another senseless death of a High School kid in Chicago. A kid who was striving at school, trying to make something out of his life, refusing to join the wrong crowd. This country has no solution for gang violence it has been killing young Black Americans for decades and we still don't known how to solve the problem.
It's a lose-lose situation when it comes to gangs, your life expectancy gets shorten whether you join or refuse to join their ranks.
We have to do better, starting from parents who have failed at their duties.
Thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
