President Obama Speech To Congress on Health Care Reform

A well delivered speech that outlined President Obama's plan and vision for Health Care reform. Even though it lacked a few details in substance I believe the message reached across the aisle especially when Barack Obama embraced one of Senator John McCain campaign point during the Presidential Elections.

The speech wasn't not only aimed at convincing Republicans to join the battle and solve the issue in a compromise, but also directed at Americans across the country. POTUS reassured the nation that he would not let this issue die in another bipartisanship battle. He vowed to be the President who will deliver on this issue.

At some point in the speech President Obama was heckled by Congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina who called the President a "liar" when he denied the rumors claiming that the new Bill will cover illegal immigrants.

Shame! Shame! Shame!

Senator John McCain also called the act "Totally disrespectful, there is no place for it and he should apologize immediately"

That outburst probably prompted by a severe case of Tourette Syndrome (shout out to Karen Civil) forced the ignorant feckless Republican to face the public and release an apology:

This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.”

Shout out to all the Twitters that joined the roast of this fool.

Get it right next time.
