After being held captive by Somali pirates for a few days, the US Navy rescued Captain Phillips. The three pirates on the tugboat were killed and another one was captured. In a different standoff with French officials a French hostage was killed on his yacht by pirates during the rescue after negotiations was leading to nowhere, his family was safe and sound.
This is starting to go out of hand. Hopefully maritime patrols will have a better effective strategy to prevents such small boats to take over huge ships. I know they got machine guns and all but still.
