Detroit Pistons Coach Flip Saunders Fired

It was announced today by Joe Dumars that Flip Saunders will not return next season to coach the Pistons (source: Brit). Here's a statement from his office:
Decisions like this are difficult to make, especially with the success we have had throughout the last three regular-seasons. However, at this time, I feel it is necessary to make a change. I thank Flip for his hard work and dedication, but it is time for a new voice to lead our team

I don't get it! This is the worst executive decision of the year, did they truly believe they could get pass Boston? The team wasn't good enough, I hate when they blame the coach in those kind of situations. They've been in the Conference Finals for past three years and that's not good enough? There was no way they could win the East with any coach and that team. The needed change wasn't at the coaching level but at the players level, they need some additions and a better bench.
Anyways, I shouldn't care like this for Detroit, my team, the Lakers is in the Finals. They are going to regret it! Quote me on this one, Detroit won't be at the same competitive level next year.
