NBA All Defensive Team

2007-08 NBA ALL-DEFENSIVE FIRST TEAM

Forward Kevin Garnett, Boston 52 points
Guard Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers 52 points
Center Marcus Camby, Denver 37 points
Guard/Forward Bruce Bowen, San Antonio 36 points
Forward Tim Duncan, San Antonio 33 points

2007-08 NBA ALL-DEFENSIVE SECOND TEAM

Forward Shane Battier, Houston 29 points
Guard Chris Paul, New Orleans 26 points
Center Dwight Howard, Orlando 25 points
Forward Tayshaun Prince, Detroit 20 points
Guard Raja Bell, Phoenix 18 points

I had Battier and Kirilenko on that first team instead of Bowen and Duncan. San Antonio's defense wasn't what it used be this past regular season. Garnett is only on it because of the defensive effort made by the whole team (best defensive team in NBA), just like Ben Wallace when he got his defensive Player of The year back in his Detroit days. To reward the whole team they give it to the anchor or leader of that defense not necessarily the best defensive player in that team. Like I mentioned in a previous post Garnett is not leading the league in key defensive stats (rebounds, block shots and steals).
