Looks like somebody has been reading my blog. Nas confessed last week to MTV News that he was under a lot of pressure to change his album title. We all know it by know so I'm not going to repeat it here. He finally caved in under the power of Corporate America and Capitalism. All that talk and support he got from a few artists and industry executives was nothing compared to retailers', Universal's and Def Jam's last word.
Looks like the album is going to be retitled Nas. Now that the controversy is over you have to question his real intentions from the beginning, were they just trying to create enough buzz for the album by having the whole blogosphere talk about it and then surprised us with what was supposed to be probably the original title. I don't buy it.
