Video: Jay-Z ft. Alicia Keys "Empire State Of Mind"
Why did Director Hype Williams shot the first half of the video in black & white? Noooooooooo! We only get the visual of street lights, bright lights in the second half. He had the right shots and editing but the video needed to be more colorful.
Beanie Sigel "Diss" Record & Interview W/ Charlamagne
Man! Beanie Sigel pours his heart out on this track about the downfall of the Rocafella dynasty. Speaks on How Jay and Dame are to blame for it. Beans seems to accuse Dame of dipping into company's accounts to finance his lavish lifestyle and Jay for not having his back when he was going through some legal issues.
He has a lot to say and he sounds sincere and genuine about it. The song and the interview give a lot of insight to the public about what was going on behind the scenes. It even makes you question Jay-Z' loyalty to his soldiers. They would ride or die for him but they never felt the reciprocal love.
They were supposed to be family but Jay never gave him a visit while he was in jail nor did he ever help him financially by releasing him from his contracts so he could venture out to other labels and consider their bidding wars.
I understand Jay-Z is a business minded person but that's not how you treat your employees (If what Beanie says his true, there is always two sides to a story). A great example Beanie gives on how to do it is how 50 cent took care of his crew and made sure they were multimillionaires at the end of the day.
50 helped push Banks, Yayo, Buck and even The Game's singles by getting on the hook and throwing a couple verses here and there for the radio push. Jay never did that for anybody not even Memphis Bleek who is still by his side.
It sad really their dynasty had to end like this. They were becoming the biggest Rap label in the industry and they allowed money to come in between them.
Get it right next time.

So what did I missed?
I've been M.I.A all weekend, Vegas would do that to you. I had a great time unfortunately I didn't hit the jackpot. I went hotel/casino hopping all day Saturday, hit a couple clubs: "Prive" at Planet Hollywood (Friday) with Jermaine Dupri as a guest DJ and "Body English" at the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday with Clinton Sparks on the 1's and 2's. Good times!
Allow me to play catch up here, I'll post some major worthy new videos and music. Sorry once again for the long hiatus, this has to be the longest I haven't blog in a year (last time was when I left for the cruise last Summer for Mexico).

It's My Birthday...
...And nothing else matters. Today should be a universal holiday. You may take the day off because I said so.
Anyways like I mentioned a few weeks back, Jay-Z is in town for the Blueprint 3 Tour (Yepp he personally showed up for my birthday), I'll be there in my "all black everything" throwing my Roc sign in the air. But before that my friends are throwing a little get-together, I call it a pre-concert birthday bash.
The festivities don't stop today cause on Friday I'm heading down to Vegas for the weekend, I have to do it big people. I'll try to report back but you know what they say about Vegas, no need to remind you.

Rihanna "Russian Roulette"
The much anticipated new first single of Rihanna is finally here.
The song was penned by Ne-Yo, even though the writing is impeccable I don't see it as a potential first single. I'm quite disappointed by the direction they're taking here. She probably was in that state of mind a few months ago, but this a Pop World where a hit has to sit well in the clubs, high tempo and loud bass.
