Obama Claims Nomination, No Concession from Clinton

People we have all witnessed a historic moment in American Politics and History last night. 15, 20 years from now you'll be telling your kids and grand kids where you were the night Senator Barack Obama became the first African American to head the Democratic Presidential ticket for a general election. That moment will be memorable to all of us, and has already affected many of us. In a very inspiring speech last night, Obama declared himself to be the Democratic nominee. Throughout the night, his delegates numbers were getting closer to the magic number, one by one. "This is our time" he said and last night was his night even though Hilary Clinton refused to concede or even acknowledge his nomination. Another low move by the Clintons, classless I should say, how can you not congratulate him on the same night, why should we wait for you to do it on your own terms. I've called her camp desperate and in the state of the denial before, last night they were just delusional, I mean come on! Do it already!
McCain and Clinton tried to steal his thunder, his moment, by giving their speeches, they didn't. The headlines tomorrow will be Obama: Presumptive Democratic Nominee, (you steal got to wait for the official delegate votes at the Convention) all over the country and all over the world.
So what does Hilary wants? She asked in her speech, health care for every Americans, end the war in Iraq, a better economy... These are same issues Obama is fighting for and the People have spoken and they want Obama to be leading the fight, so step aside and start that unity process you've promised to do after the last primaries.
Interesting points I've noticed last night were first the choice of the venue for Clinton's speech, it was in a basement of a college in New York isolated from the rest of the world, the crowd wasn't getting the usual press coverage of the primaries on the big screen, no cellphone coverage, no Internet feed, a very calculated move by her campaign to still have the crowd with her even when the CNNs and MSNBCs were calling the nomination for Obama. Second, during the speech when the crowd was chanting "Denver! Denver! Denver!" she didn't appease them, she soaked it in and kept on going also Terry McAuliffe her campaign manager introduced her as the next President of the United States knwowing that the nomination has already been called for Obama by the Media. So what do you really want Mrs Clinton? The VP position? Claiming the popular vote win surely is not the way to humbly ask for it or make your case. You want it, admit you lost the primary and don't force any hands. You want your voters to be respected, respect the voters that chose Obama as the Democratic Nominee and you'll get the respect you deserve.

I expect her to concede in the next couple days maybe after she meets with Obama in a very near future.

Man! Obama has made Politics so cool, this has been an exciting Primaries and a new beginning starts now. Get your popcorn ready because now it's Democrats vs. Republicans and you will see all kind of things.

To be continued...

Here's the speech (I'm only posting Barack's just to make my point against Clinton):
