Michael Strahan to Retire
Michael Strahan, Giants Defensive End has decided to go out on top. He won his first Super Bowl with the Giants back in February by beating the New England Patriots. He retires after 15 seasons and a potential Hall of Fame bid once he becomes eligible. The 36 year old has been thinking about retiremnt for a long time and made the decision before mini camp to be fair to his teammates. He's hanging up the cleats with the NFL (active players) and team record in sacks. The Giants are losing a big leadership voice in the locker room. It's up to Eli Manning or other veterans in that team to fill in the void.
Great decision for him, now he can get that permanent seat on the Best Damn Show Period on Fox Sports.
