Controversial Shot by Billups helps Detroit win

On the day he received his Citizenship Award for his great community and charity work, Chauncey Billups, point guard of The Detroit Pistons didn't know he'll have to answer question about a time clock glitch at the end of the 3rd quarter of their game 2 against Orlando. With 5.1 seconds left in the clock, Billups pushes the ball passes to Rip, he gives it back and Mr. Big Shot makes a deep three pointer. The problem with that is that the clock stopped at 4.8s and gave The Pistons plenty of time to make that shot. The refs went back to the replay and couldn't decide on the outcome, so they counted the points and only took away 4.6 seconds. A big mistake because in The TNT studios, they timed how long it took The Pistons to make that shot: 5.22 s, way over the 5.1 s.
If the referees weren't sure about the time elapsed they should have make The Pistons replay it, not estimate the time. This crucial mistake may have cost Orlando the game or even the series. (It's all about momentum in the Playoffs).
So Detroit won in a pretty close game. San Antonio got killed once again in New Orleans.
