Bow Down to Greatness!

I called it in 6 but the Lakers couldn't wait to get it over with in 5. I couldn't find a more fitting title for this post cause that's what Kobe Bryant is, a great, great , great basketball player.

A lot of people doubted that he could win a ring without Shaquille O'neal. He just proved you wrong. This journey started last year when the Boston Celtics embarrassed us in their home court. Kobe swore to get his team back physically and mentally ready. Black Mamba put his trust in his teammates throughout the regular season and led them all the way to the NBA Finals.

Hard work always pays off. You have to give props to the rest of the team because Kobe wouldn't be here without them. Pau Gasol for hitting the gym after he was called soft during last year Finals. Lamar Odom for accepting his new role as 6th man and coming off the bench. Ariza for his defensive skills and 3 pointers that brought the team back whenever we needed them (By the way Odom & Ariza both deserve that fat new paycheck next year, negotiations start now). And of course Fisher for his veteran leadership voice and his two clutch 3-point shots in game 4.

Congrats to Phil Jackson for winning his 10th ring, no other coach in any major sports has ever done it like him. He's the greatest, especially now after passing Red Auerbach.

Lakers 2009 NBA Champions. Kobe Bryant 2009 NBA Finals MVP.

We got it right this year. (Highlights coming later today)
