A Celebration of Black History Month [Day 4]



Harriet Tubman (1820-1913), probably the most courageous woman in American History. She was a runaway slave that fled to Philadelphia and didn't hesitate to go back down South not only to save her family but also other slaves, more that 70. Her thirteen trips were marked by many safe houses for escapees that later became the Underground Railroad.
