The Williams sisters got their revenge after they were both eliminated early in the competition. They teamed up in the Women's Doubles competition to net the gold.
Dementieva and Nadal each won the gold in the women's singles and men's singles respectively. Roger Federer disappointed but won the Men's doubles and lost his #1 world ranking in tennis to Rafael Nadal.
