Hip Hop has a new King and it's 50 Cent. He dethroned Jay-Z this year for top Hip Hop earners in 2008 (past 12 months). Curtis Jackson banked more than 100 million after taxes in one deal, when Vitamin Water was acquired by Coca Cola as part of a 4.1 billion dollar transaction. 50's portfolio also includes the popular G-Unit clothing line and record label, plus films, video games and a slew of platinum albums, including last year's "Curtis". Also in the works: a mining partnership with South African billionaire Partrice Motsepe. Jay-Z isn't too far behind with his 10-year-150 million deal with Live Nation.
